We can tie the origins of the Forget family to those of pioneers in Saint-Jovite (part of today’s Mont-Tremblant). Alcide Forget was born in Saint-Sauveur on June 25th, 1883. He founds a sawmill in 1906. The family operates in the wood industry. The sawmill is fed by the ruisseau Noir (litt. Black Creek) and bordered with the railway – today’s Le P’tit Train du Nord linear park.
